The Beauty of Natural Slate

Revolutionary slate veneer is made from splitable slate slabs. The rough split texture is a raw stone surface covering a wide range of the colour pallet. Both natural and quartzite slates are available.

The SlateFlex veneer product is not only very flexible (approx. 2mm thick) it is also lightweight (approx. 1/2 lb. per sq. ft.) Standard sheet size is 2’ x 4’ (610 x 1220mm). Other sizes available on special order in some colours.

SlateFlex can be cut with with masonry disc or laminate blade on a table saw or with snips. Cutting curves is best done using long nosed tin snips.

The rough stone surface should be treated against contamination with standard stone sealers. Enhancers may also be used to bring out the natural beauty of the slate.

SlateFlex is a natural stone product. Within a colour family there will be variations of texture, colour and pattern.
